Bitte beachten:
AU PAIRS sind junge Leute, welche ins Ausland gehen um Erfahrungen zu sammeln und gleichzeitig bei einer Gastfamilie wohnen, die Kinder betreuen, im Haushalt helfen und dafür kostenlos bei der Gastfamilie wohnen inkl. Verpflegung.

DEMI PAIRS sind junge Leute, welche ins Ausland gehen um Erfahrungen zu sammeln und vor allem Ihre Englischkenntnisse verbessern wollen und gleichzeitig in einer Familie wohnen, die Kinder betreuen, im Haushalt helfen und dafür kostenlos bei der Gastfamilie wohnen inkl. Verpflegung. IM Vergleich zum Au Pair fallen hier natürlich zusätzlich Kosten für den Englischkurs an, welcher über mindestens 12 Wochen gehen muss.

Möglichkeiten eines Au Pair/Demi Pair Aufenthalts:

1) Professional Au Pair „AAA Nannies“ (gute Englischkenntnisse vorausgesetzt):

Air port pickup in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne either by a representative of the company or the Australian family
2 day / 10 hour Nanny Workshop covering everything you should know about looking after children from newborn to teenagers, activities, family expectations, meeting other au pairs, lunch, comprehensive manual & refreshments in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
Certificate on completion of the Nanny Workshop
Written reference of your suitability as a child carer and phone reference
Introduction to selected families and job placement
Free accommodation with a private bedroom, • Free meals, 7 days per week
Pocket money (based on hours worked: 15 h/w from $50, 20 h/wk from $100, 25-30 h/wk $150-180)
2 weeks paid holidays per 6 months employment with one family at a time suitable to the Au Pair and family.
Placement into Au Pair family prior to arrival or within 1 week after course (no additional cost for accommodation apply)
Total Price Au Pair Placement: A$ 895

-> First Aid Certificate required (or test needs to be done in Australia – additional costs apply)

2) Au Pair Placement Perth (gute Englischkenntnisse vorausgesetzt):

Application Fee 200 A$
2 weeks Homestay 400 A$ (accommodation – own room – including breakfast + dinner)
Au Pair Program Fee 360 A$ - includes
Au Pair placement (Introduction to a selected family that offers you accommodation with a private bedroom, all meals included)
Registration with WWC forms and discuss this (License to work with children in Western Australia)
Orientation package for Au Pairs (duties and how the work needs to be done)
Information packet – maps
Transfer from homestay to selected family on the set date
15 hours/week work for accommodation + food (work Monday to Friday and all weekend free)
Work over 15 hours per week: A$10 per hour (in agreement with family)
24 hour phone number for emergency

Total Price Au Pair Placement: 960 A$
- additional option 1: First Aid course - approx. A$ 100 (if not available)

3) Professional Au Pair “Charlton Brown” (gute Englischkenntnisse vorausgesetzt):

on arrival weekend Au Pair Preparation training (Brisbane Campus) including:
- Baby Care,
- Child Care,
- Child Development,
- Play and Learning,
- Professional development support
Blue card (License to work with children in Australia, QLD)
Au Pair placement / job placement (Introduction to a selected family that offers you accommodation with a private bedroom, all meals included)
phone referee for any positions regarding au pair placement
Au Pairs will be paid a block rate of AUD$170.00 per week for 8 hours work. The remaining 12 hours
work will cover their accommodation and meals with the host family.
- 20-30 hours/week for accommodation + food
- pocket money is based on hours worked (20 h/week $170, for agreed hours over 20 h/week you will be paid per hour)
Location: Brisbane
Placement with a family upon completion of training with 2-4 weeks
Training Start Dates: 8 Mar, 19 Apr, 31 May, 12 Jul, 23 Aug, 4 Oct, 15 Nov 2008
Responsibilities will include assistance with child care plus some light house work duties.
Total Price Au Pair Placement: A$ 950
- additional option 1: First Aid course - approx. A$ 100 (if not available)
-> placement within 2-4 weeks after program start and after course completion (you need to book a homestay incl. meals for A$ 220 – 250 per week for the first weeks or hostel!)
-> Pocket money: $170 (for 20 h/week normal placement) or more if you work longer than 20 h/week

4) DEMI PAIR (mittlere Englischkenntnisse vorausgesetzt – Au Pair und Englischkurs):

Working Holiday Visum, anderes unbeschränktes Arbeitsvisum oder Studentenvisum vorausgesetzt
12 Wochen intensiver Englischkurs für Au Pairs
Blue Card or WWC (zur Kinderbetreuung)
Vermittlung einer Au Pair Stelle Australienweit (Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Adelaide oder Perth)
Kosten: in Abhängigkeit der Dauer und Art des Englischkurses – ab 3,700 A$ inkl. Englischkurs

Alter: ab 18 Jahre – bis 30 Jahre (selten Ausnahmen möglich)
Freude am Umgang mit Kindern
Erfahrungen in der Kinderbetreuung gut, doch keine Bedingung
gute Englischkenntnisse für den Alltag bzw. Bereitschaft, im Sprachkurs Englisch zu lernen
gesund und fit
eine gewisse Belastbarkeit
selbständiges, umsichtiges und verantwortungsvolles Arbeiten (Beachten Sie, Sie arbeiten mit Kindern!)
bei manchen Gastfamilien: tierlieb, keine Allergien gegen Hunde oder Katzen
Bereitschaft, sich an das Leben der Familie anzupassen
selbständige Gestaltung der Freizeit und eigene Organisation, neue Leute kennenzulernen
